Early this morning by 7:00 am, you’ll take a boat from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam. You'll meet your safari driver at the ferry terminal in Dar. He will pick you up and start driving to Selous from there. Driving may take up to 6 hours
During the afternoon, you'll arrive in Selous and you will go for hotel check-in and get lunch. Later, you’ll go for a boat safari in the Rufiji River until late evening. Highlights might include hippos, crocs, and more.No one ever complains about having to spend more time here in Nyerere/Selous National Park with its unique landscapes and large number of animals. Early this morning until mid-afternoon, you'll go for a guided game drive in the park. There’s no better way for you to see Nyerere/Selous National Park than on the guided game drive we’ll take you on early this morning.
Get your camera and binoculars ready, sit back in our vehicle, and enjoy looking for the wildlife. You'll go on a guided game drive through Nyerere/Selous Park where you’ll look for the predators (big cats, African wild dogs), elephants, and hippos that animate Tanzania’s southern safaris. Night Game Drive You'll embark on a night game drive for a thrillingly different perspective on Nyerere/Selous National Park and the opportunity to see some of its nocturnal inhabitants.Early this morning, you will go bush walking in Nyerere National Park.
You'll get insights into how everything is connected, and how it survives and thrives when the environment is left as nature intended. Bush walks are a great way to get close to nature and learn more about it. A bush walk gives you the chance to explore the intricate details of the bush, from tiny insects to towering trees, as well as stretch your legs. Although you may spot some giraffes, and warthog, or walk in the footsteps of elephants, our bush walks are tailored to allow you to learn about the things you miss from a vehicle or boat —the ecosystem that the animals live in. Your guide will share fascinating insights into the plants, birds, and smaller animals that often go unnoticed during traditional game drives. You’ll learn to identify animal tracks and signs.
